Named as the only child of Y'odh Tia, a Seeker of the Sun, and Azaryin Jeobah, a devout Keeper of the Moon, A'ria Odh was raised as a tradesman's daughter. Born on the 4th Sun of the 6th Astral Moon, under the protection of Nophica, in the quaint little village in the Wellwick Wood. 1545 - A'ria is born.
1563 - A'ria marries Zakary Mooncrest, a wayward Wildwood Elezen Dragoon from Ishgard.
1564 - A'ria gives birth to fraternal twins: Amelia (female Elezen) and Kale (male Miq'ote).
1572 - A'ria and Zakary lend their aid to the Battle of Carteneau, under both the Gridanian and Ishgardian colours.
A'ria is the only one of her family to survive The Calamity.Seventh Umbral Era to Present Day Timeline
A'ria woke to the news of The Calamity, searching for her family for years, while also doing what she knew best to survive. She found a rather plump and rotund cat on her journeys, dubbing him "Your Highness" the fat cat continued to follow A'ria faithfully.
Excelling in crafting and gathering, she became a well known tradeswoman, but only through her Dunesfolk Lalafellin 'dealer'. She provided the goods to sell and he sold them off for a higher profit, as most Lalafell in Ul'dah.
A'ria learned a lesson one day that changed her life.
"Never trust a Moogle alchemist."
While teaching the finer art of crafting to the Moogles of The Churning Mists, she drank one of the alchemist's potions on a drunken dare, it knocking her flat on her arse. Upon regaining her wits, her whole body had changed. Large ears sprouted from her head, she'd grown a whole yalm taller as well. The Moogle alchemist unable to reverse the effects, A'ria retreated to Ul'dah, the only place she knew she might get help.
This dropped her into the dark side of Ul'dah's trade district. She went to her trusted 'dealer' and he pushed her to the Black Market to attempt to restore her appearance. Unbeknownst to her, the 'dealer' wasn't to be trusted, and sold her to the Black Market to pay off his own debts, in flesh.
Fighting for her life and for her mental sanity, A'ria took on a whole new life as Ariella Camoa.
But this didn't end her tale. This inconvenience just drove her to find a true resolution to the moogle's mess. Granted a second chance, she ran with that chance. Still driven, she became her own competition. Since no one but a few knew the fate of 'A'ria', Ariella used her old self as a stepping stone in the markets to get ahead. Getting into the good graces of Ul'dah's head alchemist, Severian, within a matter of months was benificial to the now Viera woman. Sharing her plight with the Hyur had him sympathising with her. And one evening, the alchemist 'surprised' her with a potion, one that he swore would help her. The potion was drunk, and the long ears vanished.
Viera turned Highlander Hyur.
This wasn't completely a setback, it was progress. Severian was determined to turn Ariella back into her rightful form.
Months more went by, Ariella traveling around the First, doing what she could to help set things right there.
Severian summoned Ariella again. And this time, the potion worked. The female Miqo'te was back, her form exactly as it was before, save for a slight heterochromia, leaving her right eye purple rather than the bright vivid blue of her left. But that didn't matter, the catgirl was back!
Not wanting to garner even more debt to change her name back to her birth name, Ariella just stuck with the change.
